We finance poverty reduction!

Jubilee Fund helps finance the work of social enterprises, non-profits, cooperatives or charities that support Manitobans affected by poverty.

We do this through flexible financing – loan guarantees, direct loans and bridge financing in partnership with financial institutions.

A social impact partner contacts Jubilee Fund or a financial institution with a proposed social impact project in need of a loan. The social impact project is accessed for financial viability and social impact. The Jubilee Fund Project Development and Support Committee review social impact project and recommend to the Board for approval. Once approved, the social impact project is monitored by Jubilee Fund and the financial institution for financial progress and social impact as the social impact project repays the loan.

A business plan is an excellent tool in helping us asses your needs and provide the best financial support for your needs. Excellent information we encourage social impact projects to include in their business plans is: • Background of your organization including staffing and clients • Financial statements for the past three years • Year to date actual compared to budget • Description, rationale and scope of new social impact project being undertaken (ie. Acquisition and rennos, or just rennos as a tenant to leased bldg.) • Capital budget of the social impact project • Future forecast showing projected operating budget after social impact project is implemented.

Help support poverty reduction efforts in your community by purchasing a Jubilee Fund Membership. Jubilee Fund Members receive one vote at the Annual General Meeting in April and receive discounts at Pollock’s Hardware Co-op, Tall Grass Prairie Bread Company, Elements Restaurant and Buffalo Stone Café.

Memberships are available to individuals as well as organizations.
