Frank Parkes

Frank grew up in Selkirk and has been a long time resident of Winnipeg's north end. Frank started his career with the Canadian Armed Forces as an avionics technician with 425 fighter squadron in Bagotville, Quebec. After his military service he went to work with several companies such as Bristol Aerospace, Boeing Canada, MacDiarmid Lumber and Aero-Recip, progressing advancing is career and assuming broader management roles. Frank's career path changed when he took over justice programs in Kenora, Ontario providing support to youth involved with the justice system. This experience changed his views and led to a career based on helping aboriginal people reach their full potential. Most recently Frank has held the positions of HR Manager and GM of Neechi Commons, Facilities Management at Neeginan Centre and most recently as the Program Managerof the Community Reintegration Program with The Momentum Centre, providing supports to men involved with the justice system.

Frank is married with two children anda step-son. He continues to be active in advocating and supporting the north end and you might be able to catch his band playing at local venues where he plays lead guitar.

Frank was elected to the Jubilee Fund Board in 2016 and serves as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and is a member of the Personnel Committee.
