Patricia (Patti) Fitzmaurice, LL.B.

Patti is a Manitoban having been born in Dauphin and is a long time resident of St. James. She attended John Taylor Collegiate, and was a member and long-time volunteer for Blessed John XXII Church and the St. Charles Church. She earned a law degree at the University of Manitoba and practiced family law both with a firm and independently. She retired from her law practice in 2010.

Patti is very interested in social justice and advocating for low income and disadvantaged persons. She felt her combination of legal expertise and volunteer activities, which included serving on the Board of a personal care home, provided a “good fit” for the role of Micah House Coordinator, a position she was appointed to by the Archdiocese of Winnipeg’s Catholic Centre for Social Justice. She started in her new position in 2012 following the retirement of the founding Coordinator, Sister Johanna Jonker, SNJM after ten years of service.

Patti was elected to the Jubilee Fund Board representing the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, in April 2013. In addition to serving on the Board, Patti is a member of the Project Development & Support Committee; the Strategic Planning Committee; and the Personnel  Committee.
